The Art of Commerce took on a new meaning during today’s final keynote session as Sharon Meers, Magento’s Head of Strategy, took the stage to share Magento’s tremendous success within the fashion industry. Sharon kicked off the segment with a discussion of how Magento Enterprise Edition has become the platform of choice for many of the world’s most prestigious brands. Fashion merchants are turning to Enterprise Edition because it is the platform that allows them to build a store that looks the way they want it to, allows them to run their business the way they want to and provides scalability for the future.
After expressing Magento’s perspective on why fashion companies are a great fit for Enterprise Edition, Sharon let retailer Rebecca Minkoff share their thoughts through an insightful video shot in their New York City showroom. She went on to explain how Magento’s fashion customers range from young designers like Rebecca Minkoff to some of the world’s most recognizable brands including the famous, Christian Louboutin. Magento was excited to have the Head of Digital, Bruno Oghittu at Imagine this year and he was kind enough to share a few words on Louboutin’s experience with the platform as well as the future for the Louboutin brand.
The Focus on Fashion segment would not have been complete without a closer look at some of the inspiring clothing that our customers are offering this Spring season. Although our customers have beautiful websites (if we do say so ourselves), we thought there’s no better place than Vegas to do a proper runway show. The segment culminated with the latest looks from a few of Magento’s fashion customers including Custo Barcelona, Erin Fetherston, Missguided, Nanette Lepore, Paul Smith, Rebecca Minkoff and Zadig & Voltaire.
